“Crimea has always needed Russian self-identification... They always wanted to be in Russia. As it happened, it happened. You are a winner. You carried out a super operation without firing a single shot,” Khakamada told Putin.

In her opinion, further developments depend on the Kremlin’s position. “Everything depends on Russia. This is the key point."

“Europe is resting. Europe has never resolved any issues. The main dialogue is between us and America,” says Khakamada.

She called for an urgent search for a compromise, otherwise, according to Khakamada, “the war will overwhelm the entire post-Soviet space.”
