“Kharaberush personally tortured people, and took pleasure in it”
SBU Colonel Alexander Kharaberyush, blown up today in the center of Mariupol in a personal car, most likely, he paid for torture, bullying and extortion of money from city residents, whom the Ukrainian secret service accused of sympathizing with Russia or the LDPR.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by the former head of the DPR MGB Andrei Pinchuk.

“Kharaberush is a person who, in fact, from the first days of the confrontation organized very active work to suppress popular protest. Often, the forms of his activity were associated with outright crime, and he acted quite harshly, torturing people, killing them, and involving volunteer units, especially Azov, in his criminal activities.
A lot of people in Mariupol and beyond suffered from his actions. There were both businessmen and representatives of near-criminal circles, because he tried to operate quite extensively.
When I talk about him, I don’t just mean him individually as a person - he was the head of the counterintelligence department, had broad powers, so I mean a large group of employees that he personally supervised. A lot of people suffered from this group - some were killed, some were sent to prison, some were ransomed. They stupidly gave money and ransomed, including local businessmen and local residents.
Thus, of those who suffered from his actions, including those living, for example, on the territory of Mariupol, there were many such people - beaten, humiliated, and subjected to torture in the administration of the Mariupol SBU. Haraberyush personally tortured people, and took pleasure in it.
This person also worked very consistently and harshly against the DPR. So, if we talk about the motives for committing the murder, then most likely it is the revenge of the people who suffered from his actions, or their relatives or loved ones, because the person received exactly what he himself committed,” Pinchuk said.
