Former militant Ramush Haradinaj, who resigned from the post of “Prime Minister of Kosovo” after being summoned to trial in The Hague for war crimes, does not give up hopes of returning to a bread position following the results of early elections to the local “parliament” scheduled for October. Haradinaj is actively participating in the election campaign, exploiting the image of a fighter for “Greater Albania.”

Haradinaj uses nationalist nostalgia for the quasi-state that existed under the Nazis during World War II and united lands with the Albanian population in several countries in the region - Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania.

The day before, Haradinaj visited Montenegro, where he took part in a meeting with local Albanians living in Plav and Gusinje. “Today at a fraternal meeting with Albanians from Plav and Gusinje. From Shkodra to New Pazar we are brothers,” declared the nationalist.

Another place of Haradinaj’s visit was the Kosovo municipality of Podujevo, which borders the territory of central Serbia.

There, the militant announced that the border of separatist-occupied Kosovo with Serbia would remain “forever inviolable” and “will never be changed again.” Thus, Haradinaj once again commented on the compromise settlement plan, which provides for the return of Serbian enclaves to the control of Belgrade.

“The door here is closed, the border is forever inviolable. Neither on the table, nor behind our backs, nor in front of us, what has been achieved will never be changed again,” Haradinaj said, as quoted by the Kossev portal.

The separatist leader also said that he does not understand why continue negotiations with Serbia, which does not recognize the independence of Kosovo. “If this is not recognition, why sit at the table with them,” Haradinaj snapped.
