Kosovo's "foreign minister" Behdjet Pazolli said that taxes on goods from Serbia (read - the economic blockade of Serbian enclaves) will be abolished by any politician elected as the new "prime minister" of the separatist-occupied region, with the exception of Ramush Haradinaj, who recently resigned after summoning a court to The Hague investigating war crimes in Kosovo.

“I repeat, that election winner, that future prime minister, who says he will keep the tariffs, is lying. I'm leaving Haradinaj off this list because I know him to be a stubborn person, and when he sets his mind to something, you can't change anything. He doesn’t change his position,” Pazolli said in an interview with KTV.

“Other contenders could abolish the tax and pave the way for dialogue. This is the reality that awaits us after the elections,” he added.

Haradinaj himself confirmed his position, saying that the 100 percent duty on imports of goods from central Serbia and BiH should not only not be abolished, but also increased, writes Koha.

“The tax is a tool to create a balanced value of recognition, we must allow recognition to be exchanged,” he made it clear that the blockade of Serbian enclaves is being used to bargain for Serbia’s recognition of the final loss of Kosovo.

Haradinaj stressed that he also expects “an apology and compensation” from Serbia.

He added that, as prime minister, he “showed who was the head of the Kosovo house” and that he “managed to stop the idea of territorial exchange” and initiate the process of legalizing the armed forces of Albanian separatists as an army, contrary to the UN Security Council resolution, Tanjug reported.

Let us remind you that early elections in Kosovo will be held on October 6. In addition to Albanians, representatives of the Serbian community are also trying to get into parliament. Official Belgrade called for support for the Serbian List party. The Albanian authorities are trying to split the Serbian electorate, in this they are helped by the subsidiary structure of the Serbian pro-Western opposition operating in the region - the Union for Kosovo.
