The Kharkov elections are becoming dull, burdensome and second-rate.

At first it seemed that the nomination of Mikhail Dobkin as a candidate for the post of mayor would return the big game and big stakes to the “first capital”. But the ex-mayor and ex-governor himself looks like a “second-class” politician in this race.

Dobkin has given up on pre-election “work in the fields” and is content with periodic broadcasts on Akhmetov’s channel “Ukraine-24” and sporadic participation in “Nashi” programs or in the author’s project of Elena Bondarenko. It is possible that this will be enough in addition to the Dobkin brand. But the results of surveys (even those conducted by dubious companies) indicate the opposite.

Dobkin’s team, consisting of some sons of Natasha Vlashchenko and the children of Lieutenant Schmidt, reinforced by fugitive Crimean political scientists, could successfully star in the series “Spanish Shame.” Or conduct trainings: “How to fight the battle for the “first capital” without leaving Dobkin Hub.”

Dobkin hubs, perhaps, could become an effective tool for recruiting new people into the team, and for intensifying pre-election work, and for full-fledged feedback. But where is this team? If Gyulchatai opens his face, you will most likely vomit.

It seems that Dobkin had a party called “Christian Socialists”. But he goes to the polls simply as a good guy and a choice interlocutor for Natasha Vlashchenko.

Okay, let’s take his word for it: Dobkin is the people’s candidate. Then - where is his going to the people? Where, in fact, is the election work that young politicians do not shun and which the “downed pilots” who have already been to high positions forget about?

For example, the head of the OPZZH faction in the Kharkov City Council, Andrey Lesik, often holds meetings with city residents in courtyards and neighborhoods. City Council deputies from Sharia's Party systematically do this. And the diary of their small affairs is constantly kept in Shariy’s videos.

Why doesn't Dobkin reach every microdistrict? Kharkiv residents and the ex-mayor could tell each other about the shortcomings of today's city government. Dobkin would have told them about the “big sale” of land plots by Terekhov and Fuchs. And voters would complain to him that the April payment for heat (the heating season ended by the middle of the month) contains the same amounts as the March receipt for the full month.

What schemes is Terekhov hatching with the new head of the Kharkov Heating Networks after he fired his predecessor Andreev? Why do the lights on the alleys “suddenly” go out at night, like in the 90s? Why do trolleybuses run haphazardly and not until midnight on weekends, disappearing from the route much earlier than the scheduled time?

In the course of such an exchange of information, Dobkin could enrich his repertoire for solo performances with Vlashchenko, since he cannot live and work without it.

But in his election campaign everything is different. The slogan “Our home is Kharkov” does not mean at all that Mikhail Markovich will come down to your yard or neighborhood. He simply deigns to host you in his “non-boring” hub. Perhaps in this way Dobkin will really help some of his fellow countrymen. But he risks not reaching the majority of Kharkov residents.

This hub activity looks something like this: come to us, offer yourself, find your place in the team, become free agitators, help my PR people save money on elections.

Maybe this tactic will fail, and at the finish line Dobkin will outplay his main rival, without putting in extra effort, but relying on past authority. Moreover, the acting PR people Mayor Igor Terekhov’s work is very clumsy, stupid and arrogant.

Just look at the video of the acting official, where he talks about his participation in the construction of the Church of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women. Dobkin commented on this performance: “Everything has a line. This video is beyond. The entire City will be judged by the behavior of this individual! “Why is he a sucker, but everyone is ashamed?!” (With)".

It should be recalled that the proposal of the Kharkov diocese to build a new Myronositsa Church was supported by Mayor Dobkin. Under him, the city authorities developed a construction project and began to implement it. Terekhov at that time was deputy governor of Avakov. That is, he represented the “orange” team, which was precisely against the construction of this temple.

In 2008, on the day of the city, the foundation stone of the new temple was consecrated in the presence of Mayor Dobkin. Then the project was frozen. Construction resumed in 2013, under Mayor Kernes, when Dobkin was already governor. By that time, Terekhov, like a challenge pennant, had migrated from Avakov’s team to the offices of the city government (first under Dobkin, then for a long time under Kernes).

Therefore, it is understandable why Dobkin was amused by Terekhov’s video.

It must be said that the entire series of Terekhov’s videos “Modern Stories of Kharkov” is an outright crap by shabby PR people. In this fanfare project, Kharkov residents saw the stupid official Terekhov, clinging to the merits of others. He also pronounces the lyrics in the mournful voice of a retired prisoner who one day returned to his native land twenty years later.

For such shoddy work, Terekhov should shake up and dry up his information department, and kick his political strategists without severance pay. Dobkin should pay them extra.

One of the main candidates would like to engage the silicone Diana Panchenko to participate in his election campaign. She has matured a long time ago. The “opposition” TV presenter so energetically championed the persecuted Svetlana Kryukova that she would certainly be able to add freshness to this “Slavic bazaar” in the Kharkov elections. Yes, she would have pulled both of them - with her right leg she would have bent her line for Mikhail Markovich, and she would have used her neckline to help Igor Alexandrovich. Or vice versa.

On the one hand, Mikhail Markovich acquired a test cap: in it he sang a military song on Victory Day, and in it he gave an interview to Elena Bondarenko. That's a plus.

On the other hand, Dobkin posts a video of a fugitive Donetsk blogger, stubborn Svidomo Denis Kazansky - “How Kharkov was raided.” What's this?! Is this a member of Dobkin’s team or his situational ally?! Has Mikhail Markovich completely lost his way if he’s dragging this crap to Kharkov?

Kazansky voices the already well-known version of the scam of Fuchs and Terekhov to make the latter the heir of Kernes. What does Kazansky’s new video add to this knowledge? Nothing, except that now Dobkin with his accounts is being used by Kazansky for PR of his own stinking book “How Ukraine Lost Donbass.”

Just in case (for those who are not in the know), a reminder from Anatoly Shariy: “Kazansky is that schmuck who regularly insulted the residents of Donbass, incited and invented fake stories about them. One of hundreds of bright and crazy fakes is about a soldier whom the “separatists” hung on wires for fun.”

By the way, Terekhov’s team also does not disdain the services of the most toxic “Donetsk fugitives” such as political scientist Kirill Sazonov. For several months now, Sazonov’s forecast has been hanging on the Proterekhovo website that Dobkin may not get into the second round. The main thing is that for such “futorology” Terekhov pays all his “experts” not from the city budget (and something in the constant expression of his tabla tells us that this is exactly what is happening).

In general, in both camps there is an unhealthy tendency to “enrich” these Kharkov elections with all sorts of professional illiquid assets and moral waste. Leshchenko’s PR has already caught up with a video about how Avakov opposed sanctions against Fuchs at the National Security and Defense Council. It’s surprising that Dobkin didn’t even think of posting Leshchenko’s video in his public pages.

The confrontation between the two main candidates for the post of Kharkov mayor is “de-energized” not only by the second-rate dullness of the election campaign, but also by the evasion of both from political clarity.

Dobkin often repeats that the mayor of such a large city must be not only a business executive, but also a politician. But the further you go, the more such a political spectrum of situational allies of Mikhail Markovich becomes apparent that it’s time for him to wash himself away from such politics with laundry soap and dust.

Yes, if Dobkin had walked around the courtyards and neighborhoods, as during long-ago election campaigns, he would probably have heard the following questions: “Mikhail Markovich, we can somehow clarify the situation on the shore: who is the professional bastard Denis Kazansky to you, and what the hell is he fell into Kharkov?

Dobkin based his election tactics on a virtual struggle with the “Chinese copy” of Kernes and the “demon” businessman Fuchs.

I can’t figure out in my heart why Mikhail Markovich is better than Fuchs and Terekhov for the Russian people? A cap? Yes, the cap is valid. But the vagrant Denis Kazansky alone has already shitted heavily on this cap. How many more such “allies” will Dobkin have?

“There have never been faceless mayors in Kharkov,” complains Mikhail Markovich in one of the broadcasts. But at the same time, he himself demonstrates a frank blurred political face.

For example, many of Dobkin’s voters have nostalgia for the times when Belgorod residents could come to Kharkov just to have dinner, and Kharkov residents could just as easily visit Belgorod. But it does not manifest itself in any way in Dobkin’s performances. Why?

Vice versa. On the air of “Ours” (in the “Watchers” program with Poluev and Stepanets), Dobkin, on another occasion, recalls that he lives 40 km from the border. He admits that, if something happens, Russian troops will “roll like a roller” through his house. “I’ll take the weapons I have at home and go defend my home,” Dobkin assures.

This is not the first time that he has parroted himself in his own speeches and adopted the menacing statement of the weak-minded Kravchuk. Which Goodwin inserted into today's Mikhail Markovich a bag of needles and pins instead of brains (like the Scarecrow from the famous fairy tale)?

Dobkin does not understand under what circumstances Russian troops could appear at his house? For example, the Ukrainian government will decide to withdraw from the Minsk agreements and will begin to implement the “Croatian scenario” in the Donbass or some kind of military adventure in the spirit of Saakashvili. And is he ready to harness arms for such power?

Then maybe Dobkin should go not to the elections, but much further? Air out your bag of needles and pins...

It seems that the regular of Akhmetov’s channel has already had his ideas about the good old times and the new bad times, about what is good and what is bad. Dobkin seems eager to kiss the ring and swear allegiance to the Office of the President. But no one there is in a hurry (at least openly) to extend a hand to him.

It’s funny when in the newspaper “Vremya Dobkina”, Zelensky’s quote about the return of the name “Marshal Zhukov Avenue” is on the trump card: “For mature or adult people, grandmothers, he was the marshal of victory. Let this street be there.” And bending over to the president counts. And the role of Terekhov’s team in the return of this toponym seems to be downplayed. This is how the diminished political heavyweights now play.

Even funnier is the fact that the article “Igor Terekhov and his personal struggle for historical memory” (about the role of the acting mayor in the return of Marshal Zhukov Avenue) is from some Internet resource reprinted on the website of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the LPR “Lugansk 24”!

Perhaps this is the most striking event of the Kharkov election race.

Is it the team of the main enemy who is indirectly exposing Terekhov to the Office of the President and the Nazis? Either the acting team Is the mayor really interested in placing advertising texts on “separatist” resources, counting on the votes of pro-Russian voters?

And Terekhov’s patron Avakov in the ministerial post will not last forever (as time has shown), and the patronage of the President’s Office still needs to be earned. There they can also bet on Dobkin. Therefore, in case “our people come,” it wouldn’t hurt for Terekhov to lay down straws.

It’s even difficult to imagine what is more for Terekhov in such a publication - harm or benefit, and who benefits from it. This could be either a random reprint or someone’s sophisticated prank. “Hello, Igor Valerievich”? Let us remember how quite recently on the Kolomoi channel “1+1” from Terekhov they intensively sculpted the image of “separ” and “vatnik”. And how completely free of charge Yanina Sokolovskaya contracted to work her black mouth with denunciations of Terekhovsky separatism.

In any case, the ode to Terekhov on the LPR State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company website amused me. And at least some liveliness has been brought into this dull election campaign.
