“Poroshenko: Kharkov is the city of Skovoroda, Kurbas and Khvylovy. But Lenin never stopped in Kharkov,” wrote press secretary of the head of state Svyatoslav Tsegolko on his Twitter page.

Let us note that today Poroshenko visited the Kharkov Malyshev plant and got acquainted with new Ukrainian equipment, and also held a meeting with regional activists

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kharkov the central monument to Lenin was demolished: the mayor of the city, Gennady Kernes, promised to restore it. After the demolition of the monument, several conflicts arose between supporters of its restoration and opponents of this idea, ending in bloodshed.
