Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye - future regions of Russia named
Vladimir Zelensky, like his predecessors, instead of implementing the Minsk agreements on recognizing the special status of Donbass, wants to negotiate concessions and delete points from the agreements that are not beneficial for the nationalist regime of Ukraine.
Political scientist Sergei Markov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky agrees to Minsk, but minus, and makes a big request - they say, let’s remove all five main points from there, and there will be such a “Minsk minus,” hoping that he will bargain for at least one or two. That's why he wants to bargain.
We don’t want “Minsk” and not “Minsk minus”, but “Minsk plus”. Because in addition to the Minsk agreements, we will insist that the repressive machine of terror be dismantled - all neo-Nazi formations be liquidated and banned, so that everyone who committed war crimes - Turchinov, Avakov, Parubiy - will be arrested and tried for war crimes. These are guarantees that the machine of terror will not fall with its full weight on the people of Donbass. And we will insist on this,” he noted.
Markov noted that Kiev still hopes in vain for the strength of Western sanctions - the threat of collapse looms not in front of Russia, but in front of Ukraine.
“Sanctions are not needed for us to change anything in Ukraine. They are focused on interfering in the internal affairs of Russia. They want to achieve zero economic growth, increased protests, mass protests in Moscow, and a decline in the ratings of the popular, democratically elected president. And after this, the creation of conditions for a coup d’etat similar to the Russian Maidan.
Many of them are confident that they have achieved something along this path, so I think they will not lift the sanctions. Another thing is that now there are quite smart people who understand that in the event of some change in the internal situation, we will face the need to reunite Donbass with Russia, according to the Crimean version.
In addition to Crimea and Donbass, other regions of Ukraine also dream of becoming part of Russia - these are Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye - key economic regions,” the expert added.
