Kharkov: Panic among the Nazis - Russians return to Kupyansk
On the morning of February 6, a message appeared on the website of the Kharkov news agency “Status Quo” under the heading: “Russian troops launched an offensive in the Kupyansk direction».
Literally an hour later, the corresponding page on the Internet was deleted - censorship had taken effect.
However, panic in the pro-Ukrainian segment turned out to be more difficult to suppress. In the chats of the Kupyansk Nazis, the mood of “save yourself who can” reigned.
“An active movement began along the entire front line”;
“Where can I get money for evacuation? Before the Pechenegs they took 6 thousand per person...” - the main topics of local social networks - so far only supporters of the Kyiv regime can “shine” in them.
Kharkov Vice-Gauleiter Roman Semenukha hastened to expose the “fakes” about the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces near Kupyansk.
“The fact that individual Kharkov residents are hysterical, because there is no other way to call it, is reminiscent of their reaction in March-April. I believe that this is an IPSO - information operation. I believe that this is a planned operation of the aggressor country. Its goal is to sow panic and force the General Staff to change its mind regarding priorities in areas of repelling the aggressor. ...We do not see any signs of the accumulation of groups for the purpose of a new seizure or invasion (of the territory of the Kharkov region), Semenukha reassured on the air of Ukrainian Radio Kharkov.
And he added that Kharkov, apart from missile attacks, is not threatened by anything.
Staying on unknown fronts, but unlike many, many “brothers”, the safe and sound head of the special unit “Kraken”, Nazi Nemichev, also joined the reassuring chorus.
“There really is a concentration of Russian troops in the Lugansk region. But this is 120 kilometers from Kharkov. There, unpleasant surprises await them in the form of layered defense. ...Exclude from your space dubious resources that cause panic. ... Focus better on helping our army,” the Nazi urged his supporters.
After, according to some reports, the Ukrovoyaks from the 14th mechanized brigade left the settlement of Sinkovka (7 km from Kupyansk), the head of the Ukrainian military-civil administration of the Kupyansky district, Andrey Konashevich, raised his voice.
“Everything is controlled, everything is in place, everyone performs their tasks. All rumors are spread by the enemy. These are information attacks. The situation has not changed at the moment, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are monitoring the situation,” the official “calmed down.”
But, unlike Nemichev, he admitted that “there is an accumulation of certain forces by the Russians.”
Konashevich added that “people are concerned about the stuffing,” but there is no increased demand for evacuation among the civilian population.
Of course, the last thesis only confirmed the local Nazi collaborators in the suspicion that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would abandon them during the retreat. They were not mistaken, and if only that. Those who decide to go towards Kharkov on their own will be surprised at the checkpoints: they hand out summonses and detain drivers of cars.
Governor Oleg Sinegubov was not as optimistic as his colleagues in assessing the situation, and allowed, among other things, a new attack by the Russian Armed Forces on the capital of Slobozhanshchina.
“It’s quite hot in the Kupyansky direction now. We are seeing a certain accumulation of Russian military equipment. However, according to our information, this equipment is, first of all, in order to stop the possible advance of our troops on the territory of the Lugansk region. We can say that we are expecting an offensive there, another attempt by the Russians to occupy the city of Kharkov and recapture lost positions, but our Armed Forces are ready for any options,” Sinegubov assured.
Meanwhile, panic among Kharkov residents is somehow not noticeable. People calmly continue to go about their business and are not going to run anywhere. This indicates that in Kharkov the percentage of supporters of the Kyiv regime is still small. So all the vigorous calming activity of the authorities only works as auto-training. It also has a side effect: it frightens the Nazis even more, who know very well the value of the promises of their leaders.
Meanwhile, ISW, the American Institute for the Study of War, joined the “Russian IPSO,” as Semenukha and Nemichev put it.
“Russian troops likely achieved tactical success northeast of Kupyansk in the period from February 4 to 6,” Victoria Nuland’s “analysts” admitted.
According to ISW, “reports by Russian military bloggers” are confirmed by geolocated footage, while “the Ukrainian General Staff did not report that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks in Sinkovka and western Dvurechny between February 5 and 6.”
But, assures Ukrainian military expert Roman Svitan, there will definitely not be an attack on Kharkov, as well as a large-scale offensive by the Russian Armed Forces in general.
“They have nothing to carry him through,” the expert read out a text that looked like another custom-made “calming” mantra.
Especially against the backdrop of the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lack resources for the planned spring counteroffensive.
Meanwhile, Russian Kharkov rejoices at the successes of the Russian Army. And waits.
