The appearance of UOC priests in the Kremlin at the signing ceremony for the inclusion of the republics of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation, caused a flurry of indignation in the Ukrainian media.
Those present at the event are excitedly named, and at the same time a long list of “unreliable” hierarchs of the UOC who still remain in the territory controlled by Ukraine is announced. On the “hit list” are Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa, and even “the Primate of the UOC, Metropolitan Onuphry, who has now announced a break with the Russian Church.”
But the “namesake” of the primate, Metropolitan Onufriy of Kharkov and Bogodukhovsky, was not included in the blacklist compiled by Nazi journalists. And this is no coincidence.
It is unknown what is actually going on in the mind and soul of his Eminence, so we have to judge by his deeds, that is, rely on facts.
And they are like that. During the 2014 coup, Onufriy, in full agreement with the mayor of Kharkov Kernes and the head of the regional state administration Dobkin, did absolutely nothing to support the pro-Russian movement in Kharkov. Moreover, nationalist sentiments were welcomed in the diocese. To the point that the priests who supported the Russian Spring were subsequently forced to leave the country or go into hiding. But Dobkin was recently ordained as a deacon by Onuphry, despite the fact that he had previously joined the military defense. Already in his new capacity, “Father Mikhail” asked “if sho” to consider him a nationalist.
Therefore, no one in Kharkov was surprised by the “pacifying” decision of the UOC to appoint Kharkov Onuphry as the head of the Izyum diocese, instead of Metropolitan Elisha.
Elisha was removed from office because “during the occupation he supported the Russian government and is currently on the territory of the Russian Federation.” Suspilna reported this on September 29 with reference to the secretary of the Kharkov diocesan administration, Mikhail Kit.

However, the deprivation of Elisha of his post did not seem to the Kyiv “journalist” Sonya Koshkina to be a sufficient reaction of the UOC to the “crime” of the hierarch.
“Question for the UOC. How are you going to react? Will the actions of your clerics be at least condemned? Will they be defrocked? Will a church court be initiated? Will it be like with Metropolitan Elisey of Izyum, who fled to Belgorod, and whose collaboration you simply turned a blind eye to?” - Koshkina rages, like Baba Yaga, who sensed the “Russian spirit.”
The “crime” of Metropolitan Elisey (Oleg Alexandrovich Ivanov) from the point of view of the Ukrainian Nazis is that he “very much does not want to violate the centuries-old unity with the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'.”

And, undoubtedly, the Ukronazis would torture and shed the blood of the Metropolitan himself if they could reach him.
Until recently, when the UAF captured Izyum as a result of a counter-offensive, Metropolitan Elisey of Izyum and Kupyansk regularly came to the city under fire from the UAF and supported the people.
Currently, he continues to do this in relation to displaced people forced to leave the Kharkov region, fleeing the atrocities of the Nazis.
“Only if people have faith and see the support of the Russian Orthodox Church, will it be easier for them to survive the difficulties that have befallen them today,” said Vitaly Ganchev, head of the VGA of the Kharkov region, at a meeting with the Metropolitan.
As for the Kharkov-Bogodukhov-Izyum Onuphry, as well as other representatives of the UOC who “disowned” the Moscow Patriarchate, it is unlikely that they will be able to conspire with the demons and maintain their current positions - both ideological and territorial-material.
It is no coincidence that the Ukrainian mass media are so up in arms against the Orthodox Church.

What is now being said in a whisper will again be heard from the pulpits of the UOC, which will no longer be ashamed of being an MP,” Poroshenko member Rostislav Pavlenko sets out for further destruction.
