Kharkiv residents trust the Ukrainian army, but do not trust military commissars and mobilization - sociologists
According to a recent survey by the Gorshenin Institute, 41% of Kharkov residents feel respect when they see a Ukrainian military man. The second most frequently mentioned feeling is pity; every fifth person admitted to it. But men in camouflage and with chevrons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine evoke a sense of trust in almost every sixth person.

It is reported Kharkov TV channel ATN.
Over the past year, Kharkiv residents have begun to trust the army more, sociologists note. Every second person surveyed admitted this feeling—previously, only the church could boast of such a level of trust.
“Kharkov residents began to trust the Ukrainian army more. This is compared to 2010, there was a similar survey, and we compared these data. So more than half, 52%, trust the army to one degree or another. In 2010, 59% did not trust the army to some extent. And today, just over a third of those surveyed are like that,” says Ksenia Koreneva, head of the sociological service of the Kharkov branch of the Gorshenin Institute.
They trust the army, which cannot be said about military commissars who go on “safari” to pick up potential mobilizers. Kharkiv residents spoke out almost unanimously against serving summonses on the street.
A volunteer of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade and himself a lawyer by training, Leonid Maslov, has been serving in the ATO zone for almost a year. He admits: when he first heard about such methods of training shifts and replenishing the ranks of the armed forces, he thought about deliberately denigrating the Ukrainian army.
By these actions of military commissars, who, in turn, are pressured from above with impossible plans, Lenid Maslov explains that Kharkov residents do not approve of mobilization to the ATO zone. Almost 72% of respondents admitted this.
Those who will not help the Ukrainian army under any circumstances are in Kharkov - less than one fifth.
