Reported by IT-Sektor -Kharkov on its page on the social network.
“In Kharkov, the police did not allow utility workers to repaint a monument painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag bronze.
Utility workers came to restore the previously damaged memorial plaque on the Eternal Flame, which they quite successfully managed to do.
However, when a Zelenstroy employee tried to paint over the flag of Ukraine, which activists had recently painted over, the police asked not to do this.
At the moment, police officers are on duty at the monument, and utility workers are cleaning the square,” the message says.
In the comments under this message, one of the public readers called this “the optimal solution,” apparently forgetting that yellow and blue colors have nothing to do with Victory.

Memorial after desecration, with a restored plaque
Recall as PolitNavigator reported, on the night of May 1, Kharkov nationalists committed an act of vandalism against the “Eternal Flame” memorial in the city center, tearing off the sign from it and painting the memorial blue and yellow.
Later, vandalism against the “Eternal Flame” was committed again, which was also reported by PolitNavigator.
