Kharkov Svidomites received a sign from higher powers
During a thunderstorm in Kharkov on May 1, lightning struck the monument to the Liberator Soldier located on 23 Augusta Street, destroying the Ukrainian flags that had previously been hung on it.
This was reported in Facebook participant of the Russian Spring in Kharkov, former political prisoner Spartak Golovachev, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In Kharkov, lightning cut off the Ukrainian flag from the monument to the soldier-liberator,” he wrote, attaching the corresponding photographs.
“Lightning struck the metal pin on which the flag was attached. The banner fell. Everything lasted literally a couple of seconds, but the roar was as if a shell had exploded. I didn’t even immediately understand what had happened,” the local publication “NewsRoom” also quotes the words of eyewitness Irina Komlykova.
Earlier, local nationalists attached blue and yellow banners to the warrior’s neck and to the muzzle of his raised machine gun.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Lightning struck a flagpole in Sumy with the Bandera flag.
