Kharkov authorities want to take away the Metalist stadium from Kurchenko
Kharkov, April 04 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Chairman of the Kharkov Regional Council Sergei Chernov appealed to the prosecutor’s office in connection with the non-payment by the purchasing company LLC SK Stadium Metalist of money for the sports complex of the same name.

“I signed an appeal to the prosecutor’s office of the Kharkov region so that, in the interests of the joint ownership of territorial communities, it initiates consideration of this issue in court,” the press service of the regional council quotes Chernov.
The official assumes that the stadium will return to the joint ownership of the territorial community if the company does not fulfill its obligations.
According to the chairman of the regional council, of the almost 680 million UAH that the company promised to pay based on the results of last year's auction, only 110 million UAH went to the regional budget.
SK Stadium Metalist LLC is part of the Metalist football club, owned by the chairman of the supervisory board of the VETEK group of companies, Sergei Kurchenko.
Billionaire Kurchenko was considered close to Viktor Yanukovych’s “Family” and fled Ukraine shortly after the victory of the revolution in Kyiv.
