The Kharkov aircraft plant is not able to produce aircraft
The Ukrainian authorities ignore all suggestions from businessmen about investing in the Kharkov Aviation Plant, and as a result, Ukrainian cadets are forced to fly on old planes, which leads to accidents.
Denis Yaroslavsky, the former head of the Kiev district police department, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is one of the six countries that produce aircraft; the Kharkov Aviation Plant was the flagship of the USSR aircraft industry. Since 2014, it has had two presidents, and the plant is at the stage of bankruptcy. The plant has already entered a state of rehabilitation. Now there are 11 AN aircraft in its workshops, two of which are 99% complete. They are ready to take to the skies. What's the problem?
I have now heard briefings from the governor of the Kharkov region, many condolences to the families of the victims from the president and others. But no one says that the state of the Kharkov Aviation Plant is simply ignored. The same regional governor held three meetings with private business; its representatives proposed to bring the plant out of bankruptcy through investment, to bring to fruition the unfinished production of aircraft and to increase it. All proposals were ignored. Why do not I understand.
I would like the state, represented by our government, to answer the question why our cadets fly on old planes from 1977, they crash, and at this moment the planes that could go on flights in 2020, 2021 do not take off? Who is responsible for this,” Yaroslavsky said.
