The Kharkov court ruled: Biletsky’s ex-comrade-in-arms will be jailed
The Kharkov Court of Appeal upheld the court's decision to select a preventive measure in the form of detention for the former head of the “Eastern Corps” Oleg Shiryaev, suspected of organizing a raider takeover, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office.
Thus, today the Court of Appeal considered the appeal of Shiryaev’s defense attorney, submitted against the decision of the Kyiv District Court of Kharkov to take the suspect into custody.
“Regarding Shiryaev, the preventive measure remained unchanged. A total of 15 appeals have already been considered. Everyone was left unsatisfied,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
Let us remind you that the former head of the “Eastern Corps” Oleg Shiryaev was detained on suspicion of organizing a raider attack on the “Grain Elevator” complex in the Zmievsky district of the Kharkov region. The court chose a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention.
The court also took into custody another 22 suspects for participating in the clashes. The Court of Appeal of the Kharkov region left 12 suspects in custody in custody.
On September 11, a mass brawl with shooting occurred in the village of Zanki, Kharkov region, at a local elevator. Several dozen people took part in it. As a result of the clashes, seven people were injured.
