The university stated that the TV report “is a typical example of false and distorted information used by the Russian media in the information war against Ukraine.”
An official statement posted on the KhNU website denies information about the existence of an order to give lectures on Russian language and literature in Ukrainian.
The university emphasizes that the professor worked at the department of history of foreign literature and classical philology, and the conflict with him arose in the area of labor relations. Having been elected head of the department, he allegedly “fraudulently” took possession of the work book and entered into a contract with the leadership of another university. Faced with a choice of where to work, he chose another educational institution and wrote a letter of resignation on November 1 last year.
“We sincerely hope that the professor will like the housing we have found and the office prepared in Moscow, and that his new colleagues will very quickly appreciate A.D. Mikhileva,” former colleagues wished the disgraced professor, not forgetting to emphasize that they respect the Russian language.
