“Recently, on the territory of Kharkov, police authorities have registered several cases of deliberate destruction of ATMs belonging to one of the banking institutions of Ukraine. For all events, the investigation opened criminal proceedings under Art. 194 (intentional damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” reported the public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that “the Kharkov police officers established that a 34-year-old Kharkov resident together with a group of people was organizing and committing the above crimes.”
“On April 19, a man was detained and served with a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense. According to the decision of the Kharkov district court, the activist was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention. The pre-trial investigation continues,” the statement says.
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, yesterday Konstantin Dolgov was detained by police. The court imposed a preventive measure of 2 months in custody. Colleagues and supporters of Dolgov call this decision and the case itself “political reprisal.”
