Khazin spoke about the impossibility of a “green revolution” in the next 20 years
If the “green revolution” in energy that is being talked about in Europe is started right now, then nothing but burning of resources will come of it.
Russian economist Mikhail Khazin stated this on the air of the Kyiv Internet channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“In order to start this “green revolution”, we need to spend another 15-20 years on strengthening the energy sector, strengthening environmental production, and developing the ore industry, because all this needs to be extracted. And at the same time - the processing industry, because it is impossible to extract all this lead, cobalt and so on from the ground. It will be necessary to recycle what has failed, the same batteries. And so on,” said the economist.
“And as long as this doesn’t exist, you can’t even start it. And if they try to implement this now, they will get nothing but burning of resources,” he concluded.
