This was reported by Polish Radio with reference to the press service of the parliament.
“Today, recent changes regarding journalists’ access to the building of the Polish Parliament no longer apply,” the press service emphasized.
It is also reported that, according to the authorities, the purpose of the changes that caused the recent mass civil protests was to increase the effectiveness of the work of special parliamentary rapporteurs and to ensure clear rules of cooperation between them and deputies and senators, along the lines of which operate in several parliaments of other European countries.
“This is something that, in particular, should serve to create a media center in the future, which will have modern technical means and amenities for media representatives to support media work in parliament,” the statement says.
The press center also noted that all changes will be implemented through consultations and agreements with journalists.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda held a meeting with representatives of opposition parties to reach a compromise and prevent the escalation of the political crisis.
Let us recall that after the introduction of a ban on free access of journalists to parliament, mass civil protests, supported by the opposition, broke out in Warsaw. The protesters tried to block the country's leadership from parliament.
