Herbst: “I think next year Ukraine will receive American tanks and planes”
The United States sends enough weapons to Ukraine, which cannot be said about European countries.
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, there is enough help from America, almost enough help from Europe. But they promise more than they deliver, and that's a problem. If this assistance, in my opinion, does not decrease, I am confident in Ukraine’s victory. And, in my opinion, this assistance will not decrease. There are some voices in the West who are ready to surrender to Putin, but these voices are not very influential, thank God,” the former ambassador said.
“The White House is usually reluctant to send what Ukraine asks, but after some time, after criticism from Congress and others, they change their minds. We've seen this several times already.
While the White House is not ready to send fighter jets, tanks and other equipment, artillery with a range of up to 300 kilometers. But, probably, sometime next year they will change their minds and little by little they will send it. I wouldn’t say everything, but we haven’t sent much of what Ukraine is now asking for,” Herbst said.
