“Kherson is ours, and not ours. It’s time to decide” - Borodai about the double life of the Kherson region
From the Kyiv legacy, which miraculously remained in the power structures of the Kherson region, there is only harm and sabotage.
State Duma deputy, former Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Borodai shared this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have now left Kherson. With an ambivalent impression, because we understand that in some places the city is, of course, ours, but in others it’s not quite. In Kherson there is our mayor (the head of the High Administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo - ed.), and there is also the Kiev one (the mayor Igor Kolykhaev “inherited” from Ukraine - ed.) And the Kiev mayor holds meetings, and ours. And both seem to be preparing for winter, and around Kherson, just like here (Zaporozhye region - ed.), the fields are sown.
In different ways, including winter wheat, which has already ripened. And no one collects this wheat. Not because there are battles around. The fighting is far away, on the border of the Kherson region, but here it is private owners.
Now the former mayor of Kherson - a well-known trans-Ukrainian and rear-wheel drive - goes to Moscow and negotiates something. They say they even find understanding. I wonder with whom? He prohibits harvesting wheat on his fields, leased from the former Ukrainian state, because “it would be wrong if this wheat fell under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation.”
And others do the same. And it seems that there is our administration with Vladimir Saldo, but at the same time Kherson lives a very double life. It’s a difficult impression,” Boroday commented.
He added that Kherson is very different from the cities of the LDPR.
“Although, the city is peaceful. People walk the streets, children play in parks. Everything is quiet and calm, shops and even some restaurants are open. Everything looks very blissful, completely different from Donetsk, Lugansk, Mariupol, Izyum - everything is much better in appearance. But it’s not entirely clear whether the government there is ours or not. And this needs to be completed somehow quickly,” the deputy emphasized.
