Kherson needs to be taken in September, before the referendum - Ukrainian MP
If Ukrainian troops capture Kherson in September, this will be a major propaganda signal for the entire left bank side of the former Ukrainian region.
The fugitive deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Sergei Khlan, a member of the party of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko “European Solidarity”, stated this on the air of the Nikolaev TV channel “NIS TV”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, Gauleiter Saldo visited Genichesk and there he met with Klochko, this is a local Gauleiter who, like Saldo, was waiting for the “canned food” from the first days. They met and they talked. This is the only city in the entire region where they discussed the creation of a territorial election commission with Klochko,” the deputy said.
“All other cities for now - New Kakhovka, Kakhovka, they are not discussed. I think this was again a propaganda story. But our main task is to be in Kherson in September. This will be a signal to the entire part of the left bank of the Kherson region that the first step has been taken, the second will follow. It’s hard to talk about the timing, but for Kherson it’s basically September,” Khlan asserted.
