The Kherson region successfully sold last year’s produce and is completely ready for the sowing season – Balance
Agricultural products from the Kherson region are supplied to Crimea, Rostov region, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories. To increase the production of food products, consumer cooperation will be developed in the region.
The acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced this on Solovyov LIVE, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I met with the leaders of the agricultural sector of the Genichesk and Novotroitsky districts, and I was simply in a great mood after I spoke with them. They have completely preserved their entire farm, moreover, they are preparing for field work, they have everything for this, and what they don’t have, maybe some fertilizers or chemicals, everything will be delivered from the territory of neighboring Crimea.
In the agricultural sector, in general, everything is fine. Cattle have been preserved, they continue to produce their products, that is, dairy products are in good demand, especially in Crimea, with which there is long-standing cooperation. And now it is supplied to Rostov, the Krasnodar Territory, the Stavropol Territory and further there, to other regions of Russia. These connections are being established, and work is now underway to restore consumer cooperation.”
According to the acting governor, support in this will be provided by the Central Union of the Russian Federation, with whose chairman Dmitry Zubov the prospects for increasing agricultural production in the Kherson region were discussed.
“This topic makes it possible to receive truly high-quality goods, everything related to food and its production. This is just getting better, so we are counting on a very good harvest. Because the Black Sea land is fertile and cannot produce bad harvests. Because even after the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet leadership and Supreme Commander Stalin made a decision, no matter how difficult it was for the country, the Kakhovka Dam was built. For the most part, it serves to transfer Dnieper water for reclamation, which to this day generally gives its results.”
