“With the outbreak of hostilities in eastern Ukraine, special attention began to be paid to this discipline, because, as practice shows, soldiers die due to untimely provision of first aid. Tactical medicine is slightly different from conventional medical care, since, while saving the life of a brother-in-arms, you must also take care of protecting your own life, firing towards the enemy and quickly moving from cover to cover,” commented assistant chief of the border detachment, head of the press service Ivan Shevtsov.
As Shevtsov said, the acquired skills may be needed not only in combat conditions, but also in civilian life, because each of us can witness an accident or accident. Then the skills of tactical medicine can save a human life.
