The genius social activist Eduard Kovalenko, the initiator of the local community’s appeal to the authorities of Crimea and the Russian Federation, stated this on the air of the talk show “Time will Show.”
According to Kovalenko, after the President of the Russian Federation ordered to help the residents of the freezing Genichesk, gas was released from the Glebovsky storage facility. However, at the entrance to Genichesk the utility workers did not open the valve.
“There are two valves - one in Crimea, and the other on the Arabat Spit. The valve in Crimea was opened, but on the Arabat Spit it is closed. The situation is that Strelkovoy pumps 60 thousand cubic meters per day, which, in principle, is quite enough at above-zero temperatures. But when sub-zero temperatures set in, this is not enough. For this purpose, under the Soviet Union, a reverse was created from Dzhankoy to the Glebovskoye gas storage facility, where excess gas was pumped at above-zero temperatures, and at sub-zero temperatures it was taken from there, because consumption grows to more than 100 thousand cubic meters,” Kovalenko said.
