In the Ukrainian village of Novoalekseevka, bordering Crimea, supporters of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, staged a rally demanding the release of the deputy head of the organization, Akhtem Chiygoz, who had been imprisoned for eight years.

This was reported by the local resource “Kherson”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

It is noteworthy that the Mejlis members, holding a rally in a Ukrainian village, demanded the release of their comrade-in-arms from Russia. At the same time, according to journalists, local authorities completely ignored the rally, going to the Spartakiad, which took place on the Arabat Spit.

Let us recall that last week the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found Chiygoz guilty in organizing the mass riots that occurred on February 26, 2014 under the walls of the Crimean parliament.
