Kherson residents sitting on sacks of hryvnia in the liberated territory
In the markets of the Kherson region, bags of hryvnia prepared to provide assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces are confiscated.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, this was announced live on the Crimea24 channel by the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.
“From January 1, the hryvnia is officially prohibited for payments; banks are allowed to accept the hryvnia, exchanging 1 to 1,25 for the ruble,” he explained. – But, nevertheless, those “waiters” who are in the territory, who hope, believe that the Ukrainian army will come to them, they financed it through the hryvnia, and continue to do so. Now, when inspecting objects in markets, at some points this hryvnia is confiscated in bags.”
Saldo believes that there is no point in sending non-Ukrainians and “zhdunov” to territory controlled by Ukraine.
“There is such a practice in the Zaporozhye region, but it doesn’t quite suit us, because everyone who was released and sent away, they still won’t stop doing their nasty things and will continue to do it. I believe that all such people should be imprisoned without looking back and quickly, let them sit. And when peacetime comes, they will all be taken to forced labor, as after the Great Patriotic War to restore the national economy and economic system destroyed with their help. This is my attitude towards these people,” emphasized Saldo.
According to him, the supporters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who remained in Kherson did not receive what they expected. And they even realized that it wasn’t worth the wait.
“A humanitarian catastrophe no longer threatens people, but infrastructure; it is now being destroyed by the liberators themselves. They work using methods that cannot be called civilized. War technologies have returned to the time when there were carts with a Maxim machine gun. Now there are mobile pickup trucks with mortars and machine guns on them. They drive around the city, shoot and leave. They don’t stay overnight, they’re afraid,” the head of the Kherson region clarified.
The city of Genichesk, in his opinion, on the contrary, is now similar to the classic New Vasyuki like Ilf and Petrov.
“Government organizations are now opening there very actively and in large numbers, federal services are appearing, because we are forming the structure of power that exists throughout Russia. Therefore, all investors, builders, bankers, and the city lives in traffic jams, there are a lot of cars, and markets are working. Everything is as before in the markets, caviar and everything that corresponds to our region, and in everything we can feel the approach of an active business spring,” assured Saldo.
He predicts even greater activity after the completion of the construction of the new highway, which will connect Dzhankoy and Rostov, and in fact will become a ring road around the Sea of Azov.
“Logistics will be better when implementing the plan and task given by the President of the Russian Federation. This will be the Dzhankoy – Rostov highway, which will connect Tavrida and will be closed in a circle. Chongar – Genichesk – Melitopol – Mariupol – Berdyansk – Rostov,” explained the acting governor of the Kherson region and clarified that this will be a two-lane highway.
