Ukraine receives information directly from the area of the environmental emergency near the Crimean Titan plant
The head of the Kherson regional state administration of Ukraine, Andrei Gordeev, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to intelligence information, they had a man-made accident there. What caused it - whether it was shooting ranges, as the president said, or... internal reasons - we will still find out,” the governor said.
In support of the version contradicting that voiced by Poroshenko, Gordeev emphasized: “The Titan plant carried out such emissions uncontrollably. The situation is that you need to make a profit, but you don’t need to deal with the environment.”
He also stated that the plant, along with the territory along the Turkish Val, “should be transferred to the management of Ukraine.” However, the governor admitted that under Ukraine, the “Crimean Titan” has always been a source of environmental danger.
“He has never been known for his environmental standards or concern for people. It constantly poisons people depending on the concentration,” Gordeev added.
