The Kiev City Hall announced that residents of the Ukrainian capital will receive receipts for housing and communal services in November 5 days later than usual. This is allegedly due to a new algorithm for calculating heating payments, the official statement says.

In fact, the reason for postponing the payment deadlines for receipts is the upcoming second round of elections for the mayor of Kyiv, which will take place next Sunday, says economist Alexander Kava.
“The mayor’s office decided not to shock the townspeople with new payments until the second round of elections for the mayor of the capital. Therefore, citizens will receive payments in November after the vote,” explains the expert.
