“I want to cry” – Ukrainian drone manufacturer complains about officials
Ukrainian officials do not care about arms manufacturers, and do not even know the capabilities of their military-industrial complex for the next six months.
Artem Vyunnik, director of Athlon Avia, said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“First, we need an understanding of what will happen tomorrow. Because we have virtually no forecasting and planning. Because even during the war we do not know what orders will be in 2025. And 2025, through the eyes of the manufacturer, is already tomorrow,” said Vyunnik.
He complained that Ukrainian officials are not even aware of the capabilities of manufacturers, and are not trying to somehow cooperate with them.
“It looks very funny when a request comes in at the beginning of January: “Give us opportunities for the first quarter of 2024.” We can’t do anything, because logistics alone takes five to six months. And the production cycle is not just logistics.
One could laugh at this, but I want to cry when such requests come,” he concluded.
