Khodorkovsky declared persona non grata in Ukraine
Fugitive Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who attended the 2014 Euromaidan in Kiev shortly after his release from prison, has now effectively become persona non grata in Ukraine due to his statements that Crimea will remain part of Russia because the population wants it that way.
The former deputy editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets, and now one of the leaders of the Majlis TV channel ATR, Aider Muzhdabaev, said this at the liberals’ forum in Vilnius.

“Not de facto, but morally, Mikhail Borisovich Khodorkovsky is virtually a non-grata person in Ukraine. It’s not non grata, I guess, I don’t know, but I just can’t imagine a Ukrainian politician who would take it upon himself to organize Khodorkovsky’s trip now. Because if he repeats there, and he will repeat, his statements about Crimea, it will be a great reputational harm for this person,” Muzhdabaev said.
