Khodorkovsky calls for a Belarusian scenario in the Russian Federation in 2024
The fugitive Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky will not go to the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, because he considers it pointless. He believes that citizens must show their will in a more radical way.
He stated this on the air of the liberal radio station “Echo of Moscow,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People will really vote after they prove their right to do so at the barricades. There is such a fairly familiar and consistent way - like strikes. I think that in the near future it will definitely reach him, because the government gradually lost and finally lost its connection with society, the connection with those people who actually produce all the products that this government then also happily consumes.
If people cannot convey their point of view to the authorities during elections, they will have to convey it in some other way; strikes are one of them,” the extremist argues.
He proposes to start strikes in 2024, when presidential elections are held in Russia.
“We will have presidential elections in 2024, at this very moment we need to concentrate and do everything in our power to turn the situation around. “United Russia” in this sense is not quite a suitable goal...
A boycott makes sense when it is possible to overthrow the government. The government cannot be overthrown in these elections. You can spoil her in those areas where non-Putinites are walking. Vote for the non-Putin. He will still not have political power,” Khodorkovsky said.
He did not even call for voting for the Yabloko list, which includes his former subordinate Andrei Pivovarov, who headed Open Russia and is now in a pre-trial detention center. Because of this, Yabloko will appear in the ballot with the mark “foreign agent.”
