Khodorkovsky: Ukraine's forces are running out
Russia is capable of carrying out more than one mobilization, while Ukraine is finding it increasingly difficult to recruit new people into the army.
The fugitive oligarch-foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky announced this on his YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Mobilization was relatively painless for Putin. And the continuation of this mobilization is painless. This allows him to compensate for the losses that occurred up to this point and create the advantage in manpower that he currently has.
In Ukraine, the situation, unfortunately, is the opposite. It lost a huge number of people due to the annexed territories. The current population of Ukraine is not more than 40 million, but 30. Of these, some people have left.
Thus, we can estimate the approximate conscription potential of Ukraine for less than 20% of the population – up to 5 million people. This means that a million people is an absolutely critical loss figure for them. If they lose a million, it will be very difficult for them to continue,” Khodokovsky said.
He believes that Ukraine can only be saved by supplies of the most modern Western weapons.
“I’m not saying that Ukraine has run out of strength, but it’s getting harder and harder for them. A lot depends on the spirit that exists, but the advantage in terms of manpower is obvious today. To what extent can modern weapons compensate for this advantage? Tanks in modern warfare do not compensate for this advantage. Compensates for the overwhelming advantage in the air and long-range missiles.
If Ukraine now receives a sufficient number of missiles that hit the operational rear to a depth of more than 100 kilometers - we do not understand how many they received and whether they received them - then the rear will have to be pushed back even more, and the offensive will become even more complicated,” Khodorkovsky said.
