Khodorkovsky: Putin has a margin of safety against Western economic sanctions
Kyiv, April 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Russia has a fairly serious margin of safety to withstand Western economic sanctions, which could lead to a fall in oil prices.

According to Khodorkovsky, even if the price of oil falls to $80 per barrel, Russia can hold out for 2-3 years, and only “after that certain difficulties will begin.”
Similarly, Khodorkovsky believes, Moscow will withstand a reduction in prices to the level of 50-60 dollars. “This price is critical only in the medium term,” he said.
“You shouldn’t count on miracles... Ukraine needs to rely more on itself, on its strength, its courage,” Khodorkovsky noted.
