Cold in apartments and rolling blackouts: Ukraine faces a hard winter
This coming winter, Ukraine will face rolling blackouts, gas shortages and cold apartments.
Investment banker and anti-Russian propagandist Sergei Fursa said this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Fursa, Russia will stop not only the transit of its gas, but also the supply of electricity to Ukraine.
“We understand that in winter Russia will most likely completely stop transit through the territory of Ukraine and this will lead to certain technological complications. Plus, most likely, Russia will turn off the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is 25% of our total electricity in Ukraine. Therefore, we will have a shortage in winter. In general, there is no question – it will happen, and the winter will not be so easy,” the banker said.
“It won’t be a disaster, but there will be a deficit, a significant deficit. It will be colder in our homes, and maybe there will be rolling blackouts somewhere,” Fursa said.
