At the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, at a meeting of which Petro Poroshenko recently spoke, the Ukrainian president was not greeted very warmly.

The head of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact that Poroshenko lost in the international arena is obvious, there is no point in arguing. I watched his performance in Strasbourg the other day. Almost half empty hall. He violated the rules: usually there are 15 minutes of speeches and 45 minutes of questions. And he talked for 45 minutes about the aggressors and so on. There were 15 minutes left and we managed to ask 5 questions,” said the political scientist.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that all the questions were strictly negative in relation to the situation in Ukraine and the Ukrainian authorities.
“And these were not only representatives of Hungary and Romania who condemn this law [on education], but also representatives of Great Britain and Germany. In general, it was such a cold shower for Pyotr Alekseevich that it would probably be better for him not to go. He has never faced such a test on the international stage,” the expert added.
