Khomchak reported on successes in preparing the Armed Forces of Ukraine for mass slaughter
Foreign instructors of all levels work in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, completely rebuilding the Ukrainian army and training tens of thousands of military personnel.
The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak, stated this in an interview with Observer, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, the military command and control bodies employ advisers from NATO member states on key areas of reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One of the advisers' main tasks is to assist in the development of guidance documents based on NATO standards, as well as assist in the implementation of tasks and partnership goals within the framework of the Force Planning and Assessment Process.
A group of high-level strategic advisers is successfully working today to provide consulting assistance to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These are representatives from six countries: the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Lithuania and Poland.
The work of foreign instructors directly in the army is also large-scale and effective. With the help of these instructors, our military personnel improve their knowledge and skills to a level that will allow them to successfully perform tasks as part of multinational military formations,” he said.
Ruslan Khomchak also boasted that NATO countries provide material support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supplying them outdated or irrelevant weapons.
“Material and technical assistance is provided through NATO trust fund projects and related bilateral programs. For example, this is the transfer by the American side to Ukraine of patrol boats such as Island, Javelin, and much more.
In total, during the war years - from 2014 to 2020 - our Armed Forces received equipment worth about $500 million from the United States alone. These are armored vehicles, modern communications equipment, radar stations, counter-sniper systems and much more,” the minister added.
Note that Ruslan Khomchak previously stated that Ukraine does not need its own missiles, "because they are not used at the front."
