Kyiv, June 22 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In the “Right Sector”, today’s riots near the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, during which police officers were attacked, were considered a Kremlin provocation, which was led by activists of the Social National Assembly (SNA).

After beating an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the social-nationalists lined up in front of the central gates of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, in front of which law enforcement officers, including mounted police, stood as a human shield.
“There’s a Russian rally there,” the protesters explained to a Navigator correspondent about their appearance under the laurel.
“It’s good weather to kill - you sucked, you sucked and you will suck,” the crowd chanted this kind of chants for about an hour at the police. Contrary to expectations, the right-wing radicals did not break into the Lavra.
At the same time, the head of the information department of the Right Sector, Borislav Bereza, who arrived at the scene of the conflict, tried to smooth out the situation, according to whom the youth succumbed to the provocation organized by Moscow.
“In Moscow, waves of information are released, but people are led,” Bereza convinced those gathered. – But we need to not be fooled, but think and look. Those who collected these grandmothers calculated everything correctly - there are no militants there. And they put it in the boys’ ears that there would be.”
In turn, the head of the Kyiv branch of the SNA, Igor Krivoruchko, told Navigator that information about the proclamation of the Kyiv Republic on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Larva appeared on social networks.
“According to this information, the prayer service was supposed to develop into a religious procession, the purpose of which would be the creation of the Kyiv People’s Republic,” Krivoruchko emphasized. – Yesterday Pavel Gubarev stirred up interest in this incident and said that an armed uprising was being planned in Kyiv. But Gubarev is a nonentity and is not capable of anything except loud statements. There were about 20 activist grandmothers who ran away.”
Immediately after this conversation, the agency’s correspondent entered the territory of the monastery, where at that time several hundred believers were praying near the Assumption Cathedral. According to them, they did not plan any proclamation of republics, but only intended to go through a religious procession in memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War.
