“It’s good that we left Kherson” - Artamonov about the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station
The destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station is a terrorist attack of the same order as the raid of pro-Ukrainian radicals on the territory of the Belgorod region, pursuing the same goals.
Military analyst Alexander Artamonov said this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From the point of view of military affairs, there will be no serious consequences for us personally. Because our artillery is long-range, due to the fact that some guns will have to change their equipped position if they find themselves in a flood zone, this can be done quite quickly. In fact, the entire water area is divided into squares, so I don’t think there is an attempt to cross a river, especially one as wide as in the Kherson area. That is, I do not see and cannot say that this will cause any catastrophic consequences for our army.
On the other hand, I am very happy with the decision that was made last year. Imagine that the dam would have fallen when our army was in Kherson. That would be scary. And from the point of view of what they did, and this they did, of course, they most likely used MLRS or OTRK, this is the Vilkha border system, which has a range of up to 120 kilometers, a heavy charge of a high-precision missile, which is controlled by GPS , including with an adjustable trajectory, 250 kg high-explosive fragmentation part, although they can supply thermobaric, as far as I know, they do not do this, these developments do not exist, but, nevertheless,” the expert said.
In his opinion, this terrorist attack is Kyiv’s revenge for the loss of Artyomovsk/Bakhmut.
“Therefore, there is no accident here, this is a high-precision strike on target, precisely in order to arrange some kind of revenge for the fall of Artyomovsk. Everything is the same as a provocation on our state border. That is, somehow wash away the shame of the fall of Artyomovsk, which was declared key,” Artamonov said.
