Croatia is ready to share with Ukraine its experience in the “reintegration” of territories after conflicts.
Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman announced this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. .
“Ukraine is certainly interested in Croatian experience in resolving post-conflict situations, and we are ready to share it. The Croatian model can help Ukraine. At the same time, Croatia does not intend to carry out any actions that would contradict the Minsk agreements. Croatian-Ukrainian groups work only on peaceful resolution of conflict situations. In addition, our good relations with Ukraine in no way exclude good relations with Russia,” Grlic-Radman said.
He clarified that he did not mean the Serbian Krajina, where Operation Storm was carried out in 1995, as a result of which 230-250 thousand Serbs fled from the region, and the territory was populated by Croats.
“The peaceful reintegration of Eastern Slavonia in 1998 was very successful. This was noted by the UN Security Council. We are ready to share this successful experience with other countries. At the same time, Croatian representatives do not discuss with Ukraine a military solution to the conflict - Operation Storm - and in no way call for its repetition, although something similar was used in Ukraine,” Grlic-Radman said.
These words caused the approval of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, but Radman continued and staged a vile provocation in the Croatian style.
“We are proud of this operation. We consider it completely legitimate and legal. This was a response to the Serbian intervention. After four years of occupation of our territories, Croatia managed to ethnically cleanse them. The results of this operation were recognized by the Russian Federation 30 years ago. Actually, the anniversary of this event is the reason for my visit to Russia,” said Grlic-Radman.
