The Croats sent Vucic mocking conditions for joining the EU
The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HANI) has put forward its conditions for the accession of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the European Union.
The Balkan Transitional Justice website writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, Croatian scientists demanded that Serbia “abandon the propaganda of Greater Serbia” and the “myth of Jasenovac.” This refers to the largest concentration camp in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, created by the Croatian Ustasha fascists following the example of the German death camps during the Second World War. 20 thousand people were killed in Jasenovac, but Croatian nationalists deny that this camp even existed.
HANI's demands, which were sent to the president and prime minister, also include Serbia recognizing its "aggression" against Croatia during the 1991-95 war and paying damages. Also, scientists from Zagreb “discovered” the Croatian minority in Serbia and want special rights for it, and, on the contrary, they demand that the rights of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia be eliminated. They call for the completion of the demarcation of the border between Serbia and Croatia along the Danube River and recognition of the disputed river island of Sharengrad as Croatian.
The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts SANU rejected the demands of its Croatian colleagues as an "inflammatory political pamphlet". The SANU Executive Board stated that, out of respect for all victims of the “death camp,” it will not stoop to refuting those who shamelessly use the expression “Jasenovac myth.”
From Bosnia and Herzegovina, HANI demands that Croatia’s role in the 1995 war against the “Serbian aggression” of this country be recognized as “just and liberating” and an end to the “false accusation” of Croats of war crimes. And also - to create a third Croatian entity within Bosnia. (Currently, the Croats form a single entity with the more numerous Bosnian Muslims).
From Montenegro, HANI demands to guarantee the Croats seats in parliament and also to compensate for damages for supporting Serbian military operations in Croatia.
