Among them are Ukrainian parliamentarians and members of the government, US congressmen, politicians from the EU, religious figures of various faiths (for some reason they are listed at the end, despite the “prayerful” nature of the event), the only representative of the proto-Aryan nation - the champion of the 2021 Olympics, and other little things : deputies of regional and city councils, businessmen, public figures and activists who wanted to take a selfie with the above characters for the appropriate amount of admission ticket.

The chairman of the organizing committee of this gluttony noted:
“It is very important that various political forces, political opponents, various denominations of Ukrainian Christianity can, united... pray to God for the development of the state... for victory (over that very “gas station, obviously - D.S.) and peace in Ukraine.”
It is reported, that “the breakfast ended with the common prayer “Our Father” and the spiritual anthem of Ukraine “God, Great, One, Save Us Ukraine” performed by Dzidzio.”
Let us note here, by the way, that in the original the last song is called “Prayer of Russian Children” and its first line: “Great, One God, save Rus'-Ukraine.” But "Rus" is now don't dare even mention the great-grandson and full namesake of the author - the regent of the Kyiv St. John's Monastery of the UOC (MP) Fr. Nikolai Lysenko in a duet with archpriest-showman Alexander Klimenko, who is also a minister of the church with the root “rus-” in the name.
As for the “Our Father,” praying together with heretics (which, from a canonical point of view, are 99,9% of the participants in the Prayer Breakfast) is a crime punishable by excommunication.
Which does not bother the hierarchy of the UOC (MP), whose representatives have been participating in such events for several years now. Not to mention the aforementioned John Belenyuk, also a parishioner of the UOC (MP).
It is significant that when subscribers of the Union website wrote about the same thing in the comments anonymous Orthodox journalists (“close” to the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC MP), the moderators “wiped out” these comments. We didn’t have time to wipe it, however, on the Facebook page of the UOJ, solemnly who reported on the participation of the Orthodox hierarch in the ecumenical event.
However, there were also supporters of such participation: “And where did they pray together, gentlemen of the “righteous”? Show a video of such a joint prayer that everyone repeats the same prayer out loud (I wonder where ordinary believers who are not invited to such high spheres can get this video? - D.S.) ... otherwise, you will be answerable to God for slander, because of my jealousy beyond reason.”
Well, “jealousy is not according to reason”, this is such a worn-out label from those “especially dedicated” to those who ask uncomfortable questions... However, the metropolitan participating in this breakfast, indeed, does not repeat the prayer with all heretics. Although he stands in the general row with those praying. Are such compromises acceptable? I don't dare judge.
In past years, when the fate of the UOC (MP) itself was under a very big question, when the issue of “Thomas” was being decided (this is how his then headliner Poroshenko said the cherished word at the Prayer Breakfast 2018), perhaps it was necessary to shine. But now, when the entire Ukrainian elite has shown its anti-Orthodox essence, when Thomas no longer just exists, but is waging a war with the Church, and the commanders of this war are at the main tables at this breakfast, what is the point of the confusion of believers?
At the first tables are Poroshenko, Turchynov, Gerashchenko (the one “Antonina”), Epifan...
... the last one is at the same table with the speaker himself!
After all, the event is positioned as a prayer event. And millions of Orthodox Christians know that a representative of the canonical Church is participating in it. You won’t privately whisper in the ear of each of the stunned millions that “ours, in fact, did not pray at the prayer meeting.”
And, in the end, even if he didn’t pray, he trampled on the warning from the very first line of the first psalm: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked... and does not sit in the seat of the wicked.” By corrupters here we mean not only the rulers of Ukraine with its “universal human values,” but also various kinds of Latins, sectarians and self-saints who lead Christians away from the path of salvation.
