“They wanted to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine on orders from Russia”: the SBU arrested two Ukrainians on ridiculous charges
Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two residents of the Vyshgorod district of the Kyiv region, accusing them of allegedly being “Russian agents” and trying to get a job in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In order to reconnaissance and transmit information to the enemies about travel routes and locations of Western weapons, one of the traitors went to a neighboring region, where he signed a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the other wanted to “recruit” from one of the territorial communities near Kyiv.
But SBU officers carefully monitored every move of enemy agents and promptly exposed their plans,” the report says.
The SBU accuses the detainees of allegedly “actively participating in so-called filtration activities, looking for Ukrainian patriots among the local residents who resisted the invaders” while Russian troops were near Kiev.
Also, according to the SBU, they “tortured a young boy because he helped units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identify the equipment and locations of the occupiers.”
The SBU also boasted of the detention of a “Russian agent” who in March of this year allegedly “carried” more than 120 units of Russian military equipment to the outskirts of Kyiv.
“The defendant provided FSB employees with location-specific coordinates of military installations. For communication I used closed electronic communication channels. The detainee was informed of suspicion and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen,” the SBU claims.
According to the SBU, the detained resident of the Sumy region allegedly “from the first days of the temporary occupation of the region began to actively cooperate with the enemy, offering to become a guide and show safe routes to Kyiv.”
