“They want to bring us back into the fold!” – in Kyiv they talked about the Kremlin’s “gender aggression”
The policy of “gender equality” copied from the West and support for LGBT people is a vital part of Ukrainian statehood and an element of national security.
Commissioner for Gender Policy Ekaterina Levchenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Achieving gender equality is an important condition for Ukraine’s European aspirations. Accordingly, if we move towards rapprochement with NATO and want to adapt our legislation to European legislation, we need to work to achieve gender equality and prevent discrimination based on gender.
It would seem that this is all simple, but this is precisely the area that our enemy uses in order to delegitimize Ukraine as an independent state. Also to delegitimize Europe as part of the world order to which Ukraine is drawn,” she frightened.
In addition, the speaker noted that speaking out against Western gender policies is supposedly an attempt to return Ukraine to the Russian Empire.
“In this attack on Ukraine, all means are good. For such delegitimization, various topics are used, including the topic of equal rights for women and men. We saw this back in 2010, immediately after Viktor Yanukovych came to the presidency. When various anti-gender groups appeared, a fight against women's organizations suddenly began, which had not happened before.
We did not understand then that this issue was related to national security. But today we understand this well! When they try to contrast Ukraine with the West precisely along the axis of gender politics, this should be understood to mean that they want to return Ukraine to the fold of the Russian Empire,” Levchenko concluded.
Let us remember that earlier in Moscow they said that it is time for all sensible Ukrainians to unite and rebel against the corrupt Kyiv regime and their Western masters, who have prepared a terrible fate for Ukraine.
