Hovaysya who can: New Ukrainian missiles from Turchynov are dangerous
Arms production in Ukraine can be compared to a handicraft process in a garage, when “Uncle Vasya sharpens a rocket by hand with a file.” Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Kuzmuk stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The former head of the Ukrainian military department clearly knows what he is talking about - it was under Kuzmuk in 2000 that a missile unsuccessfully launched during an exercise hit a residential building in Brovary, and in 2001, during an exercise, Ukrainian air defense shot down a passenger plane over the Black Sea.

As Kuzmuk explains, it is impossible to produce modern weapons using the equipment that is left in the Ukrainian military industry.
“There is one thing that no one will say - tell me, can our Ukroboronprom produce modern weapons like Javelin, fifth generation, having fixed production assets of the second generation?
Yes, we have a garage assembly, practically in the garage! This can't happen. If the weapon is high-precision, it must be assembled by qualified workers using super equipment, which, unfortunately, has not changed.
It starts with this, and not with the fact that we make a rocket, and Uncle Vasya, a turner, sharpens it by hand with a file,” said Kuzmuk.
