You know, young man, I never tire of being amazed at some kind of total decline in morals in this country. After all, all laws are violated here - both human and God's, and even the criminal world. Judge for yourself.

On the night of February 7, an alarm signal was received at the security console of the Odessa satellite city of Ilyichevsk (renamed by the current government as part of decommunization to Chernomorsk - Ed). The side door of the Intercession Church of the UOC was broken into. For the second time in a month. The first time - and it was January 10 of this year - the scoundrels destroyed the church in search of money donated by parishioners, desecrating the altar. This time, despite the fact that the task force arrived just six minutes after the signal, the scoundrels managed to gut the boxes with voluntary donations and escape from the crime scene without hindrance. Of course, another criminal case has been opened again. And the press service of our diocese is once again calling on law enforcement agencies. But it looks like a voice crying in the wilderness. After all, just last year, 19 churches in our region were robbed and desecrated with impunity! And not one of these crimes was solved, no one was punished.

Alas, there is nothing surprising here. After all, the current Ukrainian state in every possible way condones the direct persecution of canonical Orthodoxy in Ukraine. You probably know about the attempts of nationalists and schismatics of the so-called “Kyiv Patriarchate” to seize and even destroy churches belonging to the canonical UOC. Suffice it to recall the recent confrontation in Kyiv and the blatant arson of a church in Galicia. Not to mention the lawless seizures of churches by the Uniates and Filaretites, contrary to the interests of the parishioners. Despite the fact that in this country the church is separated from the state, attempts by pro-government structures and neo-Nazi militants to involve it in secular politics and subordinate it to Bandera dogma continue, and with absolute impunity.

How can one not remember that in the criminal world the caste of cranberry thieves - church robbers - was the most despised. There was even a contemptuous expression “he went so far as to steal from a church mug,” which meant the lowest degree of decline for a urkagan. And communication with such degenerates was a waste for “decent thieves.” Now, when the power of impostors and usurpers secretly supports blasphemy and incitement of religious hatred, are such crimes surprising? What, excuse me, is the “pop” - such is the arrival! But God is not a fraer, and you have to pay for everything! And not only to petty thieves, but also to those who actually patronize their blasphemy.
