Chronicles of integration: Belarus called again
A telephone conversation between the Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Belarus Sergei Rumas took place today at the initiative of the Belarusian side.
This was reported by the official websites of both governments, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The problems of oil and gas supplies for the next year were discussed, as well as the implementation of instructions given by the presidents of the two countries.
“Sergei Rumas and Dmitry Medvedev agreed to call next week after a meeting of the leaders of the working group to develop proposals for the further development of Belarusian-Russian integration,” according to the website of the Belarusian government.
Let us remember that last Tuesday President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called Medvedev and invited him to come to Minsk.
On Friday, Lukashenko, speaking to medical students, did not rule out the possibility of several more rounds of negotiations with Russia on “thorny issues” after December 20, the date on which the integration agreement is scheduled to be signed. The new date was set after the meeting of the presidents of Russia and Belarus in Sochi on December 8 ended without results.
