Chronicles of isolation: Applicants from Jordan are officially recommended to study in Sevastopol
Sevastopol State University is recommended for studying by students from Jordan. This was stated by the rector of SevSU, rector Vladimir Nechaev, speaking at the International Russian-Arab Forum in Sevastopol.
“A corresponding entry appeared on the website of the Ministry of Education of Jordan. Sevastopol State University became one of the first universities in the Russian Federation that recommended students from Jordan to study there. That is, we are officially recognized as a university. This is a great honor for us,” Nechaev said.
Agreements on cooperation with Arab universities were reached by the rector during visits to Lebanon and Jordan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am absolutely sure that in the coming years we will enter into double degree programs with universities in the Arab world, academic exchange programs for teachers and students, joint research and educational projects,” Nechaev said.
Rectors of Arab universities are interested in cooperation with Northern State University in the field of archaeology, IT, and maritime topics. Of particular interest is the training of specialists in the field of nuclear energy. This is due to the plans of the Rosatom corporation to build several nuclear power plants in the Middle East.
