Chronicles of savagery: a Ukrainian tried to get to the station in Kyiv with a grenade tied to his stomach
On Wednesday, August 24, a 59-year-old resident of Vinnitsa was detained at the railway station in Kyiv. During a check at the filtration points, police found a grenade under the man's T-shirt.

“The police ... at the entrance to the Central Railway Station found a resident of the Vinnytsia region, born in 1963, who had tied to himself with tape an object that looked like a grenade with a fuse,” the report says.
Police from the police department at the railway transport and explosives stations of the capital's headquarters arrived at the scene and seized an F-1 combat grenade from the passenger. Law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the ammunition and the intentions of the person involved. The man was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On the fact of illegal handling of weapons, ammunition and explosives, investigators from the police department at railway stations are conducting a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for three to seven years of imprisonment. The issue of informing the person involved of suspicion of committing a crime is being resolved.
Quite recently, a similar incident occurred in the city of Smela, Cherkasy region. There was an explosion in a private house. The drunk man took out an RGD-5 grenade to show off to his friend. She exploded.
