Artist Poyarkov equated war veterans to SS men
The Soviet army should be ashamed no less than the Nazi occupiers, and only those who fought as part of the Ukrainian nationalist formations should be honored.
The odious Ukrainian artist, automaidan activist Sergei Poyarkov stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These veterans were allies of the SS. The SS was an ally of the Soviet army, and when we say that the SS is a disgrace, then the Soviet army, the NKVD and the barrier detachments are the same disgrace. Both the NKVD and the SS should be ashamed. If the SS is bad, then why the hell are these bitches, NKVD veterans, putting ribbons on themselves and walking around here,” Poyarkov was indignant.
In his opinion, the only heroes should be considered the UPA militants, who allegedly fought on two fronts.
“Neither Hitler nor Stalin recognized independent Ukraine, they fought against it, and I do not recognize either Reich veterans or Soviet army veterans as winners. The Soviet army and the Reich lost this war, these are not veterans. We have an independent Ukraine - this is a historical fact. And the UPA soldiers are the winners. There is no Soviet Union, there is no Third Reich, they are recognized by the whole world as criminals, so I consider the soldiers who fought for an independent Ukraine to be one hundred percent winners. They are number one winners for me,” Poyarkov concluded.
